Bear of Bandwidth

Dan Caruso had a front seat in the telecom bubble of the 1990s and early 2000s, as well as playing a major part in the consolidation of the resulting mess over the past 20 years through his company Zayo. I have just finished his excellent new book, Bandwidth, and would highly recommend it, even to those without a specific obsession about telecom. The excesses and irrational exuberance is still mid blowing!

For those into podcasts, and an interest in telecom infrastructure in the AI age, I’d also recommend Dan’s chat with Kevin O’ Hara, a fellow survivor from the crash. They mainly cover old ground but have interesting views on AI and the future. Although not even 2 months old, it is a wee bit out of date given the rein of the mad king and gutting of federal subsidies relating to telecom in favour of the other mad fella (the one with the diminishing hundreds of billions)….
